ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF TB! CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1985286 To
PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE REMOVAL OF TREES
WHEREAS. pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article II:t
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 24, 1985,·

did adopt a budqet for fiscal year 1985-86~ and · ·
WHEREAS, in July, 1985, a fire in the foothills caused seyere
da•aqe to trees and vegetation; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to remove dead trees and stumps from the
fire area;
NOW, THEReFORE, the Council of the C:i.ty of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-six
Dollars ($11,796) is appropriated to Technical Services in the General
Tree Maintenanca Pt'ogram of the Pat"ks and Open Space Management Divi
sion and the Reserv~ for Capital Projects is cot'respondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this project is exempt for pur
poses ot tne California Env i t'Onm~n tal Quality Act and, t..here fore, no
environmental i~pact assessment is required.
SECTION 3. This ordinanc~~ shall become effective immediately as
provided in Section 12 of ~rticle III of the Chat'ter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
