PROHiBIT CONSTRUCTION BEFORE 9 A.M. ON SATURDAYS
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does-ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1.

Sec.tion ~.10.060(cf) is \ereby amended to read
"d. Construction. Notwithstariding any other
prov1s1on of this chapter between the hours of 8
a.m. and 8 p.m. daily except Saturday when the
exemption herein shall a~~ly between 9 a.m. arlcf
8 p.m~ and Sundays and hol1 ays, when the exempt1on
herein shall apply between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., con
struction, alteration, or repait7 activities which
are authori~ed b:· valid city permit shall be al
lowed if they meet at least one of the following
noise limitations:
( l) No individual piece of equipment shall
p~:ocluc~ a noisa level exceeding 83 dBA at a dis
tance of 25 feet. If the device is housed within a
structure on the property, the measurement shall be
made outside the structure at a distance as close
to 25 feet from the equipment as possible.
( 2.) The noise lev~l at any polnt outside of
the property plane of the project shall not exceed
86 dBA ...
