AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING SECTION 12.16.020 OF CHAPTER 12.16 OF
TITL~ 12 OF THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE BY
t-:STA.BLIStHNG UNDERGROUND UTILITY IJISTRICT NO. 27
The Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, does ORDAIN as
follows~
WH~;RI::AS, this Council di.d, on Pe'xuar-y 11, 1985, adopt its Resolu
tion ~o. 6347 of Intention to Amend Section 12,16.020 of Chapter-12.16
of Title 12 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code by Establishing Underground
Utility District No. 27 in said City and by sai~ Resolution appointed
Monday, the 6th day of May, 1985, at the hour ot 7:30 o'clock p.m. in
the time and place <)( hear:it1·J ~n·otests dnd receiving evidenc~ for and
against said proposed action and directing notice;

the manner provided by law! ?q appears from the affidavits on file in
the office of the City Clerk:

SECTION 1. The public necessity, health and safety. require. the
r~moval of poles and ove~head lines and associated ovechead structures.
from that certain area desccibed tn said Resolution No. 6077.
SECTION 2. Section 12.16.020 of Chapter 12.16 6f ~itle 12 of the
Palo Alto Municip~l c;i>de is amended py addinq Subsection (26) theretOr·.
said Subsection (27) to read as follows:
"(27) District No. 27. All lands within the city of Palo,
Alto on Cambridge Avenue between Birch Streec. and l:?ar,k. Boule
vard; removal ninety ,~· )0) ~ays after completion and accep~·
tance of th~ work~"·
SECTION ~· Th.e "UndergroiJnd Utility nist.t:"ict Map" refereed to in
said Section 12.16.020 shall be amended to add the areas shown on the
map referred to in said Resolution No. 6347 •.
SBCTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon thE" expira
