ORDINANCE NO. 3615
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND AOOPTING A PLAN FOR THE IMPROVEMENT A:ND
CONSTRUCTION OF BLANCO WATER LINE A'l' FOOTHILLS PARK
WHEREAS, Article VIII Of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto ~n~
Section 22.08.005 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code require that before
any substantial building, const.ruct ion, reconstruct ion or development
is commenced or approved upon or with respect to any land held by the
City for park purposes, the Council shall first cause to b~ prepared
and by ordinance approve and adopt a plan therefor; and
WHEREASr the City Council did by Ordinance No. 2252, adopted
September 13, 1965, place Palo Alto Foothills Park on the list of lands
used or intended to be used for park purposes; and
WHBREAS, the Council desires to replace Blanco wooden water tanks
with a water line at Foothills Park pursuant to a plan prepared there
tor;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAI~

SECTION 1. That the plan attached hereto, mark~d Exhibtt ~A", is
hereoy identified as the revised site plan, is hereby approv~d anci
adopted provided that connect~on to said pipe line for the purpose of
serving private properties is prohibited.
SECTION 2. The project was i:·eviewed for environrnent.al impact
prior to sites design review and no significant environmental imp~cts
were found, and no fur:thet environmental assessment is required~
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon th~ com
mencement of the fhirty-first day ~fter the day 6f its .passage •
