ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING .THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1984-85 TO
PROVIDE t'OR THE RECEIPT OF REVENU& FROM THE NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA POWER AGENCY
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article Ill.
of the Charter of th~ City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 25, 1984,
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1984-85; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto participates with the Nor:thern
California Power Agency (NCPA) for energy generation projects: and
WHEREAS, the City has paid development funds for the Calaveras
Project sponsored by NCPA; and
WHEREAS, tile agreement. with NCPA provides for return of th~se
development funds upon appropriate financing~
NOW, THI:!:REFORE, the Council of the City l:•f Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of One Million Eight Hundred Sixty-five Thou
sand Seven and 07/100 Dollars ($1 ,865,007.07} is appropriated to the
System Improvement Reserve of the Electric Utility and esti~ated reve
nue is correspondingly increased to reflect receipt of funds fro. the
horthern California Power Agency.
BECTION 2. The Council finds that this transaction is not applic-
able for purpOses of CEQA and, therefore, no env .:..:o~ntal assoessaent :.!
is necessary .•
SECTION 3. This ordinemce stlall becom~ effective i-ediately as
prov i.ded · in Sect ion 12 of. Article I I 1 of the Charter and Section
2.04~375 of the Palo Alto Municipal CQde. , ·
