ORDINANCE Oft' THE COUNCIL O.!:o.;·-T'H'E-CITY OF PALO .A.LTO
AMENU:tNG THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1984-85 TO
PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL A~'PROPRIATION FOR THE CONS8RVATION
AND SOLAR PROGRAM TO PROVIDE: FOR THE RECF.;IPT OF GRANT
FUNDS FROM THE CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Sectlon 12 of Article III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alt6, the Co~ncil on June 25, 1984,
did adopt a budget for fiscal yea~ 1984-85; and
WHEREAS, the Counc i 1 of the City of Palo Al t() has establ ishe(j a
Weatherization Loan Program; and
WHEREAS, City staff has determined that conservation services have
not been successfully provided to lower income citizens or senior
citizens; a ;1d
WHEREAS, the Cali~ornia Energy Commission has made grant funds
available for a "Limited Income Weatherization Assistant Programn to
aid lower incom~/senior homeowners;
NOW, THPREFOREv the Council of thA City of Palo AllC does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Twenty-Three Thousand r~ ight t-lu ndred
Eighty-Eight Dollars ($21,888) is appropriated to Technical Services in
the Enecgy Services Program of the Utilities Department and estimated
revenue is correspondingly increased to reflect receipt of grant funds
from the California Energy Con~ission.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this ls not a project under the
California Environmental Qua.lity Act and, therefore, no environmental
impact assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. 'fhis ordinance shall become effective immediately as
provided in Section 1~ of A~ticle III of the Charter and section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto ~unicipal Code.
