ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCI.L OF THE CITY OP PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEA~ 1984-85 TO
ESTABLISH AND PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIA'riON
FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 84-2:3 •ctT'r
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS STORAGE IMPROVEMENTS•
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article Ill
of the Chat:ter of the City of Palo Alto, the Counc i 1 o:t June 2 5, 1984,
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1984-85; and
WHEREAS, the Council received a status
Hazardous Materials Management Program ~hich
and schedules for improvements to City-owned
ground s~orage facilities; and

WHEREAS, in order to proceed wilh implementing City improvements
it is recommended that funding be provided for tne design phase of the
project~
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of P~lo Alto doe~ ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. Capital Improvement Project No. 84-23 is hereby estah

SECTION 2. The sum of One Hundt·ed 'l.'en 'rhouE;and Dollars (S110,000)

Projects is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 3. An environm-ental assess111ent will be made durin9 the
pralfm1nary design phase ac part of the Pll'!nning COIUlission and Archi··
tectural Review Board approvals.
SECTIOtil 4. This ordinance shall beco•e effective iaeed'ately as
provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 o! the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
