ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCI.L OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR T.HE FISCAL YEAR 1984-85 TO PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATION FOR REFUNDS AND M'ISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA .• ,,,, J'' WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article Iii' of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Counc~l on June 25, 19a4~ ' did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1984-85; and WHEREAS, on November 5, 1984, the Council adopted Resoluti~>n No. 6327 giving notice of its intention to dissolve a parking and business improvement area in the downtown area of Palo Alto1 and WHEREAS, after a public hearing, duly noticed and held, the Coun­ cil has decided to disestablish the Downtown Business Impr~vement Area of Palo Alto: and WHEREAS, the Council has authorized payment of cert~in miscella­ ne0llS e~penses nut exceeding $4,455 and !'efunds to those businesses which paid their 1983 busi.ness cY!~rqes to the Downtown Business Im,·~ p:=ovemen···. Are"-1 NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as ~ollows: s::::CTION 1. The sum of Thirty-five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ( $35,500} Is appropriated to the Downtown ~ssessment District and the Reserve fo~ capital projects is correspondingly decreased.
