AMENDING THE ORDINANCE IMPOSING ~RATORIA IN THB
DOWNTONN AREA

WHERE:AS, on September 18, 1984, the City Council passed, on an
urgency basis, Ordinance No. 3570 Imposing Moratoria for One Year on
the Construction of New Square Footage and the Conversion of Non-office
Uses to Office Uses in the Downtown Area1 and
WHEREA~, the Council wishs to clarify that the moratoriuJr on new
constructinn shall not apply to any project that r~ceived a final
recommendation for design approval froRl the architectural board on or
be fore September 17, 1984, regard less of any modifications that might
be made by the City Council upon appeal;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of tl1e City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
§.ECTION 1. Section l(c) of Ordinance No. 3570 is hereby aaended
to reau·~
