ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF niE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUILDING CODE (TITLE 16) WITH RBGARD TO
THE EXE.MPTlON OF PROJECTS 'llJAT HAVE RECEIVED DeSIGN
APPROVAL FROM MORATORIA
The City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 16.48.150 [Architectural Review} is hereby
added to the Palo Alto Municipal Code to read;
16.48.150 Moratorium. When any moratori-
um on construction or the processing of an applic~
tion for any building permit or planning appr--:>val
is adopted by the City Council, regardless of such
moratorium, a project which has re·.~eived a final
reccmmendat ion for design approval fro:n the a.rcn \.
tectural review board P'..Jrsuant to this chapter oo
or before the date of the Council l"IW::eting at w!1ich
the moratorium first appeared on the City Counci lt5
printed agenda, shall continue to be processed,
provided that the proje~t complh~s .,ith all other
city ordinances~
SECTION 2. The Council hereby finds that none of the provisions
of this ordinance will have a significant environmental impact.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective \.ipon the cou.
mencement of the thirty-first da~ after the day of its passaqe,.
