ADDING c·BAPTBR 18. 58 (GENERAL MANUFACTURING COM
BINING DISTRICT (1) REGULATIONS) TO THE PALO ALTO
MUNICIPAL CODE
The Counci~. of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 18. 58 (General Manui:actur.ing Combining Dis-
trict (1) Regul~tivns) hereby is added to the ~alo Alto Municipal Code
to read as fullows:

develop.ent regulations of Chapter 18.55 (GM District) shall
apply except for the following:

11.58.170 Special requireltellbl. (a) Retail s~ies

use pereit, shall be deeae~ to be col".lfoming uses. Such uses
shall be permitted. to reaodel,. improve or replace site:: im
provement,s on the saae site, without complying with site
aevelopaent req~lations for continua.l use and occupancy by
the suae use; provided that any such remodeling, improvement
or replacement shall nQt result in increased floor area,

(b) General business office uses which ( 1) e.xistad on
the effective date of this section and which, .. prior to tbat

obtained a r~Ddation fo~ approval of the Atchit:ect\lral
Review Board pursuant to Chapter· 16 ... 48 (Architect.ural Review)
