OPE.RATING BUDGET FOR THE ANNUAL TRANSFER SITE LEASE
PAYMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of s~~tion 12 of Article III
of the Charter of th~ City of Pal~ Alto, the Council on June 25, 1964 1
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1984-85; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto has pt:eviously
directed staff to proc~ed in its efforts to acquire a site for possible
future use as a solid waste transfer center; and
rniEREAS, staff recently completed negotiation!. with the City of
Los Altos for a leat;e/purchase agreement (present value $1,540,625) fo"
the .former Los Altos Treatment Plant site~ and
WHEREAS, the lease/purchase requires the City of Palo Alto to pay

Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-three Dollars ($280,943);
