HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 3558">' ., ' .. • • ORDINANCE NO. 3558 ORDINANCE OF .THE COUNCIL OF'"""=TH~E=--f'~ .• .l:-:T:-:-:Y OF PALO ALTO AMENDING PC ORDINANCE NO. 1992 APPL~ING TO PROPERTY KNOWN AS 700 WELCH ROAD WHEREAS, on November 22, 1972, by Ordinance No. 199~, the City Council of the City of Palo Alto approved a Planned Community (PC) zone for certain property known as 700 Welch Road to allow rehabilitation of the Stanford Barn for an office/retail d~velopment; and ~-JHEREAS, the property owner has applied for modifications to the Development Plan established by Ordinance 1992 to permit the conversion of 2131 square feet of vacant : .ter ior area to off ice use; and WHEREAS, the loca t jon and design for the construct ion has been review~d by the Planning Commission and the At·chitectural Review Board and has been found to he compatible ~ith the appearance and function of the development; NOW, THEREFORE, the Counc :t 1 of the City of Palo Alto d.oes ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. Ordinance 1992 i~ hereby amended to include conversion of existing vacant interior spnce totaling 21Jl square feet to office use as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated he~ein by reference subject to the condition ti1at 8 Class ·!I and 5 Class I bicycle faci 1 itie.c:; and 5 handicapped parking spaces be provided. SECTION 2. Developement Schedule. Construction of the improve- ments shall begin within six months of the effective date of th:ts ordi-· · nance anq ·shall be completed within three mo11ths of the beginning date of const~uction. SECTION 3. 'l'he Council finds that this· project will have no signiticant adverse eavironmental impact. SECTION . 4:.
