APPROVING AND .ADOPTING PLANS FOR GOLF COURSE CART
PAtHS OVER A PORTION OF BYXBEE PARK, THE CITY-owNED
BAYLANDS AND THE MUNICIPAL OOLF COURSt: .
WHER8AS, Article VIII of tt,e Charter of the City of Palo Alto anct'
Section 22.08. 005 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code require that beforEJ
any substantial building, construct ion, reconstruct ion, or develop•ent
is commenced or approved, up:')n or with re~:pect to any land held by the
City for park purposes, the Council shall first cause to be prepared
and by ordinance approve and adopt a plan therefor; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did by Ordinance No. 2252, adopted in
1965 as amended by Ordinance No. 3067 adopted in 1978, and yla.ced the
City·~owned baylands on the list of lands used or intended to be used
for pa~k purposes1 and
WHEREAS, the City CounC"il did by Ordinance No. 2:l.S2, adopted in
1965, place tha Municipal Golf Course on t~e list of lands used or in
tended to be used for park. pu.rposes ~ ~nd
WH~REAS, the Council desires to allow improvem~nts for qolf course
cart paths to cross ~ port ion of said parks pursuant to a plan prepared
thereforJ
SECTION 1. The plan attached hereto, marked EJC:hibit •~t., • shall br,t
and the same i~ hereby approved an~ adopted.
SECTION 2. The Councit finds that this project will have .,., sig-
nif i.cant environm.ental impact. ·:..~"
