WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto b1posed a r~ratorium
on the processing of applications for planning approvals for new build
in~ projects with:~ the area generally bounded by Park Boulevard,
Lambert Avenue, Ash Street and the rc:.i lroad tracks, more specifically
shown on the map attached hereto C'.s •Exhibit A• and inco.rpcr.=tted herein
by reference so that a land use study could be conducted; and
WHEREAS, such moratoriu1e was enacted by urgency Ordinance No. 34r7
and extended by urgency Ordinance No. 3539 so that the land use study
could be completed; and
WHER~AS, the City Council, after studyini;1 the i•pa~ts of the cur
rent ~oning regulations on the future aevelopaent of the area bas
rezoned a mCljor portion of the area t.o Moderate Density Multj,ple--~'aally
Residential District (RM-3): and
WHEREAS, it is no longer necessary for the present J1110r.11tori•~• to
be in effect;
