ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE-CITY O.F PA.LO AT .. TO
AMENDING 'l"'H£ SUDGE'r FOR THE FISCAL Yt;AR 1 98 3-8 4
TO PROVIDE: AN ADDITIONAT~ APPROPRIATION FOR PARK
RESTORATION AND URBAN REFORESTATION AND TO PROVIDE

DEPARTMENT OF FORBSTRY
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Atticle III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Altol the Council on June 27, 1983#
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1983-84; and
WBERSAS, th~ Council of the City of Palo Alto desires to implement
the removal and replanting of trees in Robles Park, the Bowling Gteen,
West Bayshore, and El Camino medians: and
WHERr.iAS, the Ca 1 i fern i a De par t.ment of F'o rest r y has made q rant
funds avai.lab1e undf.;r. the Parks Restoration and Utban Refoteslation
Pr:oS}r:am (J'obs Bill) to accomplish tlle replanting 'n'ork;
NOW, THEREFORE, th~ Council of the City of Palo Altc does ORDAIN
as follows~
§_EC~IO£i._)_. The sum of 'fhir.ty-five Thousand Dollars ($35,.000) is
appropriated to the Tree Maintenance Program of the Parks and Op•?n
Space Division in the Technical Services a(~count. Estimated reven~8 is
cortespondingly increased to :reflect r.ec.eipt of grant funds from the
California Department of Forestry.
SECTION 2. The Council finds chat this project will have no sig
nificant environmental impact.
SECTION 3. This o~dinance shall become effective immediately as
provided-inSection 12 of Article III of the Chartet· and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
