ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCT.L OF TDE CI'1'Y OF PALO ALTO
Ar-'IENDING TH.E BUDG.ET FOR THF.: FISCAL YEAR 1982-83 TO
PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATION FOR PHASE III Of THE
INFLOW/INFILTRATION STUDY IN THE SEWER UTILITY
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on JLJne 2l, 1982,
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1982-83: and
WHEREAS f in October: 1 982, Council authorized a s l udy of the sewer
collection system: and
WHEREAS, preliminary findinqs from Phase I and Phase II indicate a
need for continuing with Phase IIIr and
WHEREAS, the recent heavy storms of the ~wason h:=tve de:nonsl'::ated
inadequacies in the sewer collection system~

as follows:
SEC'riON 1. The sum of One Hundr:~d Thirteen '1'hous<?~rHi uol.lars
($113,000) is appropriated for Professional Services in the Sngin~erinq
P :rogr am of the Sewer Uti 1 i ty· and the Reser-ve for Sy su:m r mp ro v·~;;;wnt s i. n
the Sewer Utility is cor.r:espondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this ptoject was reviewed for
envJ r:onrnental impact rnev iously and no furthe~r environmental asses.smen\.
is r.equired.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shaJ.l become
ptovided ~~Section 12 of Article III of
2.04.375 or the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
