ORDINANCE NO. 3343
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1981-82 TO
PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR CRIME PRE
VENTION ACTIVITIES AND TO PROVIDE ~"OR RECEIPT OF
REVENUE FROM THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Sect~an 12 of Article III
of the Charter of the Cit:! of Palo A.lto, the Council on June 22, 1981,
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1981-82; and
WHt:REAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto ba.s established a
community crime prevention program; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to further enhance this program
thr:oug?~ development of an automated data information system to identify
potential crime targets1 and
NHEREAS, the Office of Criminal Justice Planning has made grant
fund~j available for the purpose of developing t.his data collection

SEC'I'ION 1. 'I'he sum of Seventy-five Thous:a:~d Dollars ($7:3,000) is

SECTION 2. Council finds that this is not a project for purposes
of the ~al1fornia Environmental Quality Act and, therefore, no e~viron
mental assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ord ina nee shall become effective Lmmed LJ.t~ly as
provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
