WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 22, 1981,
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1981-82; and
WH\~REAS, Capital Improvement Project No. 80-02 has been esta.blish
ed for "Civic Center Improvements Exterior Tower" and Capital Improve
ment Project No. 81-81 has been established for "Solar Screen at Civic
Center"~ and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to enhance the air quality at the
Civic Center; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist in Capital Improvement Project No.
80-02 3nd Capital Improvement Froject No-81-81 to perform the desired
improvement to the Civic Center1
NOW, THBREFORE, the Council of the City oi Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. Capital Improvement Project No. 81-87 is hereby estab-

SECTION 2, The sum of Twenty-seven Thousand Dollars ($27,000) is
appropr1a~·.9o_I to Capital Improvement Project No. 81-87 "C:lvic Center
Filter Rett·ofit.11 and appropri.?,tions for the following Capital Improve
ment Pr-ojects are correspondingly decreased~

SECTION 3. The Council finds that this is not a project for pur
poses 0£-Efie California Environmental Quality ii.Ct and no environment.al
assessment is necessary.
SECTION 4. Thi~ ordinance shall become effective imrned iately as
provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
