ORDINANCE NO. 3338
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR ~rl~ FISCAL YEAR 1981-82 TO
PROVIDE FUNDING FOR A PALO ALTO COMMUNITY CRIME
PREVENTION CENTER AND TO PROVIDE FOR RECEIPT OF
GRANT FUNDS FROM THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
PLANNING
WHEREAS, pu~suant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 22, 1981,
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1981-827 and
WHEREAS, the City Council r~cognizes the need for crime prevention
within the community1 and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to establish a community crime prevention center for distributing crime information to the general
public~ and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto has been notified that grant funds
are available through the Office of Criminal Justice Planning for es
tablishment of a community crime prevention center;
NOW, THEREfORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) is ap
proprlafed t5~he Cri~e Preventio~·Program of the Police Department as
follows:

and ~stimated revenue is correspondingly increased to reflect receipt
of gran.t funds from the Office of Criminal Justice Planning.
SECTION 2. An env~ronmental impact assessment has been pecformed
and counc1l 11nds this project will not have a signific'"nt environ
mental impact.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately a~
proviaed in """S'ectlon 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section. 2.04.375 ot the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
