ORDINANCE NO. 3322
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FO~ THE FISCAL YEAR 1981-82 TO
PROVIDE FUNDING IN THE CITY CLERK'S DEPARTMENT
BUDGET FOR A SPECIAIJ ELECTION o·.:~ MARCH 30, 1982
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 22, 1981,
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1981-82; and
WHEREAS, an jnitiative petition for the rezoning of certain
parcels of land near California Avenue and Park Boulevard has been
received by the City of Palo Alto; anJ
WHEREAS, said petition req~ests a special election be held in this
matter; and
WHEQEAS, the CotJncil wishes to su~mit said initiative to the elec
torate o[ the City of Palo Alto for consideration:
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of ~~e City of Palo Alto ~oes ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. •rhe sum of Twenty-fiv~'! Thousand Dollars ($25,000) is
appropr1ated to the Elections subprogram of the City Clerk's Otfice for
Special Expenses and the Reserve for . Capital Proj~cts is correspond
ingly decreased.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project for pur
poses of the California gnvironmental Quality Act and no envi.ronr.tent.al
assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. 'l'his ordinance shall become effective immediately as
provided 1n Sec-tion 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 c1 the Palo Alto Municipdl Code.
