ORDINANCE NO. 3320
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1981-82 TO
PROVIDE FUNDING FOR STRUCTURE AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
AND MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSE FOR THE GAMBLE HOUSE
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 o~ Article III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 22, 1981,
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1981-82~ and
WHERRAS 1 the City of Palo Alto has been deeded property and struc
tures thereon by Elizabeth Gamble; and
~~EREAS, the City Council wishes to maintain the structures and
grounds of the residence until such time as a decision is made for the
ultimate "Ae of the property~ and
WHEREAS, additional expense will be necessaary for obtaining com
m~nity input relative to use of the property~
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Twenty-eight Thousand Dollars ($28,000) is
appropriated to the Administration and General subprogram of the Real
Estate Division for general exPenses and the Reserve for Capital Pro
jects is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project ior pur
poses Of the Cal iforr1ia Er..vi ronmental Quality Act and no environmental
assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This orainance shall becoma effective as provided in
Section 12 otArticle III of the Charter and 8ection 2.04.375 of the
Palo Alto Municipal Code.
