ORDINANCE NO. 3302
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1981-82 TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR CAPIT~L IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 80-21
"MAIN LIBRARY, PHASE t IMPROVEMENTS"
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of lhe Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 22,
1981 did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1981-82; and
WHEREAS, Capital Improvement Project No. 80-21 has been esta
bli5hed for "Main Library, Phase I Improvements"~ and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to include additional
improveme~ts for automatic fire spr~nklers and installation of a
more efficient, energy saving lighting system, which improvements
are not contained in the original improvement project) and
\oi[{ERF:AS, ~ ... fficient funds are not available in Project No,
80-21 for the additional desired improvements;
NOW, THERSFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Seventy Three Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars-T$ir;!DO) is appropr:(-tad to Capital Improvement Project No.
80-21 "Main Library, Phase I Improvements" and the Rese~ve for
Capital Pr~jects is correspondingly dec~eased.
SECTION 2. An en•;ironmental impact assessment v1as ccnducted
and Council tound this project not to have a significant environ
mental impact.
SECTION 3o This ordinance shall become effective immediately
as provided fn Section 12 of Artie!~ lii of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
