ORDINANCE NO. 3 3 01
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1981-82 TO
PROVIDE FO~DING IN THE PLA~NING DIVISION FOR DOWNTOWN
RETAIL STUDY CONSULTANT SERV~CES
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Arti
cle Ill of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on
June 22, 1981, did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1981-82~ anJ
. rlHEREAS I the basis of the Downtown Betail Study is Program 19
in the Urban De-sign Section of the 1981 Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, staff has negotiated a consultant c:."Ont ract as di
rected by the Finan~e and Public Works Committeer and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to contract for prep
aration of the Downtown Retail Study as specified in the consul
tant 1 .s "WOrk program;
NOW, ~HEREF0RE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION l. The sum of •rwanLy 'fhousand DollQrs { $20,000) is
appropr1ated to the Speci~l :~udies subprogram of the Planning
Division for Program and Project Consulting Servicest and the
Reserve for General Contingency is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. ThiB study is not considered a project under
CEQA. No envu:-onmental assessme~nt is required at this time.
SEC:TION 3. This ordinance shall become effective imrnea iat.ely
as pr~vlded 1n Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Sec
tion 2.04.375 of the P~lo Alto Municipal Code.
