ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
A.MENDING THE AUDGET FOR THE F'ISCAL YEAR 1980-81 ro
PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE RF:PAIR OF A POWER
TRANSFORMER
WHEREAS, pursuant to the prov1stons of Section 12 of ~rticle III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council of June 23,
l~~o, did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1980-81; and
WHEREAS, the City entered into an agreement with Federal Pacific
Electric Company for the repair of a power· transformer; and
WHERF.AS 1· extensive core damage has been found which was not
included in the original repair C'Ont::cact~ and
WHEHEAS, the City desires to have the core replaced in the
tr-ansformer;
NOW 1• 'rHER8FOHE, the Council of UH? City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SEC'rlON 1. 'l,he sum of F.:ighty 'r'housand Dollars ($80,000) is
appropriated to the Electric Fund as follows:
Acquisition and Construction Subprogram
-Utilities System Purchase $80,000
and the reserve for Emergency Plant Replacement in the Electric
Uti 1 i ty i.s corresponding 1 y decrcasE~d.
SE:.~CriON 2. The Council finds that this is not a project for
purposes·· of" the~~alifornia Environmental Quality Act and no environ
mental assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3.. This ordinance shall become effective immediately as
provided 1n Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Sectiort
2.04Q375 of the Palo blto Municipal Code.
