ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BU[)GET FOR THE FISCAL YF.AR 1980-81 TO
PROVIDF. FUNDS IN THE REF'USE UTILITY OPERl\TING BUDGE'l'
FOR THF CURBSIOE RECYCLING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to the p~ov1s1ons of Section 12 of Article III
of the Char.ter l)f the City of Palo Alto, the Council of June 23,
1980, did adopt ~ buctget for fiscal year 1980-81; and
WHER.EAS, the City of Palo Alto has been previously awarded a One
Hundred Fifty·~One Thousand N'ine Hundred Ten Dollar {$151,910) qrant
for expansion and ooera.tion of the Curbside Recycling Proqram~ and
WHEREAS, the unexpenderi balance of that grant was not encumbered
as the end of 1979-80.

ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Thi-rty·~Two 'rhc-usancl One Hundred Dollars
($32,--:!""bO)-is--:3ppropriaterl tc the I·~.Jt:eri~·ll Recovery Subprogr-am of the
Refuse Utility as follows:

and the Reserve for Systems Improvement of the Refuse Utility Fund is
correspondingly d~creased.
