ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR '.i'HF. FISCAL YRA.R 1980-81 TO
PROVIDE FUNDS F'OR THE MA'rERIAL R.ECOVP-RY PROGRAM AND
TO PROVIDE FOR THF. RECEIPT OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE
STATF. SOLID W~STE AANAG8~1ENT ROARD
WH8REAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III
of the Charter: of the City of Palo Alto, the Council of .:.Tune 23,
1980, did adopt a budqet for fiscal year 1980-81~ and
WHEREAS, the r.ouncil of the City of Palo Alto has previously
approved application for Grant Funds under the Solid Waste Management
Act of t980; and
WHERF:ASr thf> aoplication has been approved by the State Solid
Waste ~anaqement Boarrl m<:~king available Six Thousand Two Hundred Six
Dollars ($6,206) for a Litter Control Program~

SECTION 2. The Council finds that this project is categorically
exempt-rrom-the> requirement of t.he California Environmental Quality
Act and no environmental assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become ef feet i ve imrned iate l y as
provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter-and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
