ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
.a.MENOING THE BUDGET FOR THE r'ISCAL YEAR 1980-81 TO PROVIDE
FUNDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
NO. 80-41 ,. I'rT EXCAVATION STUDY/DESIGN" AND TO DECREASE
FUNDING IN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS NO. 78-31 "RINCONADA
POOL RENOVATION," NO. 79-40 "MITCHELL PARK FOOTBRIDGE
REPLACEMENT" AND NO. 79-99 "WAVERLEY BIKE/PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE
EROSION CONTROL"
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
rrr of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June
2 3: 1980, did adopt a budget for f.iscal year 1980-81: and
WHEHEAS~ in order to terminate sanitary landfill operations,
the City must satisfy requirements of the Regional Water Qualit.:y
Control Board including that for site coverage; and

NO'f'i, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Capital Impr-ovement Project No. 80-·41 i.s hereby
t:~stabTTshedfor "I'r1' Excavation Study/Desiqn.~~
SECTION 2. The sum of One Hundred Twentv-five Thousand Dol-
lars { $12.'r;ooo) is transferred to the Capital .. Irnpr.ovement Pr.oject
No. B0-41 "ITT Excavation Study/Design" and the appropriations for
the following capital improvement projects are correspondingly
decceasec~:
No. 78-31 "Rinconada Pool Renovation~
No. 79-40 "M.itchell Park Footbridge Replacement"
No. 79-99 RWaverley Bike/Pedestrian Bidge Erosion

SECTION 3. A draft environmental impact report for publica
tion by theC1 t.y of Pa.lo Alto is also included in the scope of
services to be performed by the design consultant.
SEC?ION 4. This ordinance shall becom~ effective immediately
as provided in Section 12 of Article IIi of the Charter and Sec
tion 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
