ORD~NANCE OF' THE COUNCIL OF TH~~ CI'rY OF PALO 1\UPO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE f'ISCAL YEAR 1980-81 ro PROVIDE
FUNDS IN THE REFUSF: UTILITY OPERATING BUDGET TO PROCEED
WITH THE ITT PROPERTY gxCAVATION Rt-;STORATION
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June
23, 1980, did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1980~81; ano
WHEREAS, in order: to term in ate sanitary land f i 11 ope rat ions,
the Ci.ty must sati~fy requirements of the Regiona1 Water Quality
Contr"ol Board incl uning that for site cover.aqe; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto has previously
directed staff to proceed with the ITT property excavation concept
and to beg in the consul tcmt seJ.ection pr·ocess.
NOW, THF.RF.FORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1.

Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
to the Refuse Utility Fund as
System Improvements Subprogram
-Professional Services $125,000
and the Reserve for System Improvements of the Refuse Utility Fund
i.s correspondingly decreased.
SEC'fiON 2. A draft environmental i.mpact report for. publica-
tion -by -·theCTt.y of Palo Alto is in.cl uded in the scope of ser.., ices
to be performed by the design consultant.
SECTION 3. 'Ehis ordinanct:.~ shall become effective immediately
as prov1ded 1n Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
