Chambers at 5:04 P.M.
Present: Berman, Burt arrived at 5:20 P.M., DuBois, Filseth, Holman,
Kniss arrived at 7:10 P.M., Scharff arrived at 6:45 P.M, Schmid,

Council went into Closed Session at 5:09 P.M.
Vice Mayor Scharff attended via teleconference at 6:45 P.M.
Council returned from Closed Session at 7:10 P.M.
Mayor Burt announced Council authorized the City Attorney to settle the
case of Harney v. City of Palo Alto U.S. District Court Case No.:
14-CV-03415-LHK, for $250,000 in return for dismissal of the lawsuit.
Council authorized the City Attorney to settle the case of Kaplan v. City of
Palo Alto Santa Clara County Superior Court, Case No. 1-14-CV274250, for $125,000 in return for dismissal of the lawsuit.
No reportable action regarding the Palo Alto Post Office Agenda Item.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 P.M.
