Council Retreat for the Purpose of Discussing Council Policies and Objectives and Implementation of Council Priorities for 2011 481 PUBLIC COMMENTS/ORAL COMMUNICATIONS 481 ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 2:15 p.m. 481 01/22/2011 107-481 The City Council of the City of Palo Alto met on this date at the Baylands Interpretive Center at 9:00 a.m. Present: Burt, Espinosa, Holman, Klein, Price, Scharff, Schmid, Shepherd, Yeh Absent: STUDY SESSION 1. Council Retreat for the Purpose of Discussing Council Policies and Objectives and Implementation of Council Priorities for 2011 PUBLIC COMMENTS/ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Annette Glanckopf stated that she would like: 1) to see the Citizen Corp Council become an official Board or Commission of the City, 2) for the City to expedite appointment of an Emergency Planner, 3) City to publish a calendar with all events easily accessible by the public, 4) two week supply of emergency necessities for disaster service workers, and 5) Jeff Hoel spoke regarding the need for continued work on the Fiber to the Premises initiative. Sherrie Furman spoke about the accomplishments of PANDA Bob Moss spoke about keeping the same priorities as last year and that some of the major issues ahead are the Housing Element, High Speed Rail, Stanford Hospital, and emergency preparedness. Mark Weiss spoke about the need to continue the Fiber to the Premises initiative, and public/private partnerships. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 2:15 p.m.
