ACTION MINUTES
Special Meeting
January 17, 2012
The City Council of the City of Palo Alto met on this date in the Council
Conference Room at 6:10 P.M.
Present: Burt, Espinosa arrived @ 7:13 P.M., Holman, Klein, Price,
Scharff, Schmid, Shepherd, Yeh
Absent:
1. Interviews For The Architectural Review Board For One Term Ending
On September 30, 2014
The City Council interviewed the following candidates for one position on the
Architectural Review Board ending on September 30, 2014; Brent McClure,
Laurie Abbott Chase, and Ron Halfhill.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MOTION: Council Member Shepherd moved, seconded by Mayor Yeh to
approve the minutes of November 07 and 14, 2011.
MOTION PASSED: 8-0 Espinosa Absent
CONSENT CALENDAR
MOTION: Vice Mayor Scharff moved, seconded by Council Member Price to
approve the Agenda Item No. 2.
2. Appointment of 2012 Emergency Standby Council.
MOTION PASSED: 8-0 Espinosa Absent

3. Presentation of Infrastructure Blue Ribbon Commission (IBRC) Report,
Acknowledgment of IBRC for Outstanding Work, and Discussion of
Potential Next Steps.
BY ACCLAIMATION THE CITY COUNCIL DISCHARGED THE
INFRASTRUCTURE BLUE RIBBON COMMISSION MEMBERS.
No action taken.
COUNCIL MEMBER QUESTIONS, COMMENTS, AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Vice Mayor Scharff reported on attending the Santa Clara County Cities
Association who chose the following 3 priorities for 2012; Regional Economic
Development, Supporting Innovative Schools, and Sustainable Communities
Strategy & Transportation.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 11:14 P.M.
