FINAL MINUTES
Special Meeting May 7, 2014
The City Council met on this date in the Council Conference Room at 6:01
P.M., 250 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto, California.
Present: Berman arrived at 6:04 P.M., Burt arrived at 6:02 P.M., Holman,
Klein, Kniss, Scharff, Schmid, Shepherd
Absent: Price
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Shani Kleinhaus remarked on the eradication of squirrels at Byxbee Park and
discussed how the City of Berkeley addressed this issue; she requested staff
cease the eradication of squirrels. She wanted to remove a portion of the
landfill and preserve the wildlife.
ACTION ITEMS
1. Interviews of Candidates for the Planning and Transportation
Commission and Public Art Commission.
The City Council interviewed Sealam Reddy, Przemek Gardias, Eric
Rosenblum, Brian Hamachek, and Freda Manuel for the Planning &
Transportation Commission.
Vice Mayor Kniss left the meeting at 7:09 P.M.
Council Member Klein left the meeting at 7:09 P.M.
The City Council interviewed Christine Miller Kelly and Jim Migdal for the
Public Art Commission.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:46 P.M.
