Joint Special Meeting City Council and Planning and Transportation Commission Council Chambers November 20, 2002 3:00 p.m.
SPECIAL MEETING
1. A demonstration of the Segway (a battery-operated, hi-tech scooter) is being held. The demonstration has been arranged to provide hands-on information
regarding a transportation policy issue—the suitability/desirability of a new transport device to
operate on public sidewalks and other public spaces alongside pedestrians. The demonstration will take place on the Civic Center Plaza at 3:00 p.m. for 30 to 45 minutes. Following the
demonstration, there will be a question and answer period in the Council Chambers.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Members of the public may speak to any item not on the agenda; three minutes per speaker. ADJOURNMENT
