I’m resident of Midtown Palo Alto for the last 17 years. Since last year we have noticed a lot of concerning activity
on Colorado Ave particularly around the Greer Park area around
1. Lots of abandoned vehicles
2. Homeless RVs
3. regular double parking
4. Shady gathering of non local people sometimes causing ruckus and smoking marijuana
Walking on the street after sunset has become a bit scary. We don’t see any community police officers patrolling
either.
Please look into this and address it before the situation gets any worse.
Thank you
Ash

I spent last couple months canvassing in San Francisco for my favorite candidate for mayor. In doing so I have
talked with hundreds of San Francsico residents. The people who use the Waymo Robotaxis LOVE them. They are
in constant demand.
San Francsico is, in my opinion, the worst city in the bay area to beta test a Robotaxi service, so if they love them in
SF, I can only imagine what a boon they'd be in an environment that was designed around cars.
I'm convinced that the only way to make our roads reasonably safe for cyclists, pedestrians and children is for there
to be more autonomous vehicles than not. Robotaxis are the first step in that direction. If I'm not mistaken, the
Robotaxis will sell people on the idea of autonomous vehicles.

Hello Herb,
Thank you for your bringing this to our attention. The same arborist is the permit
applicant for these two households, among others, and must have accidentally
switched the public notice signs. I spoke to him this morning, and the signs will be
moved to the correct locations today.
I am re-starting the 14-day public noticing period for 24TRE-00113. This tree is a 14.1”
Coast live oak that is growing immediately adjacent to another Coast live oak. They
naturally germinated so close to one another that they are fused at the base. Eventually
one will not survive the conflict. The one approved for removal is suppressed and has an
extreme lean over the house. It is circled in red in the picture below. The other Coast live
oak stems will remain.

TREE REMOVAL PERMIT 24TRE00117 (4160 DONALD DRIVE TREE REMOVAL APPROVAL 935 WAVERLEY STREET Notice of the Tree Removal Permit for 4160 Donald Drive(24TRE00117) has been posted in front of 915 Waverley Streetthat is in a completely different neighborhood than thelocation of the proposed tree removal. A search for the address 4160 Donald Drive returns an Internetaddress for a Public Works Department press release about theposting of the permit for that address, but that Internetaddress is no longer active and there is no press release forthat address currently on the Public Works press release site. However, there is a press release for an approved tree removalat 915 Waverley Street published October 7, 2024 that is priorto the date on the notice for 4160 Donald Drive. I don't recall whether there was a prior notice posted at 915Waverley Street for the approved tree removal at that address. I suggest that you don't approve the proposed tree removal for4160 Donald Drive until after the proposed removal is properlyre-noticed. Also, if the tree at 915 Waverley has not already been removed, and that removal has not been properly noticed, I suggest thatyou rescind the approval and properly re-notice the proposedremoval.

Council Members:
I understand the city ride share program is a money losing operation which is a problem thatneeds creative solutions. I may be in the minority given the number of Tesla cars owners in
Palo Alto but I have to say I can’t believe the city wants to deal with such a morally bankruptbusinessman as Elon Musk. The idea of this association disgusts me as a member of this
community. Surely there must be other options that can be considered before this deal isfinalized. Shouldn’t normal business practices include only working with people of principle
and integrity?
So will Palo Alto subsidize his experiment? Investors in Tesla and X probably no longerbelieve in the genius status attributed to Musk when they see their stock reports. The man is
rude, impulsive and a poor manager with little concern about how his actions affect people.
