The Finance Committee of the City of Palo Alto met on this date in the Community Meeting Room
and by virtual teleconference at 5:30 P.M.

1. Finance Committee Discussion for Fire Chief Recruitment and Input of Candidate’s Key

2. Recommendation to the City Council to Approve New FY 2026 Palo Alto Fiber Rates and
Packages as Recommended by Utilities Advisory Commission
MOTION: Councilmember Lythcott-Haims moved, seconded by Councilmember Reckdahl to
recommend the Finance Committee advance for City Council consideration and adopt the new
Fiscal Year 2026 Palo Alto Fiber Rates and Packages to provide broadband internet services as
recommended by the Utilities Advisory Commission.

3. Recommend the City Council Adopt the Fiscal Year 2026 Investment Policy
MOTION: Councilmember Lythcott-Haims moved, seconded by Councilmember Reckdahl
recommend the Finance Committee recommend that the City Council adopt the Fiscal Year
2026 City Investment Policy with the amendment to Attachment A as presented by City staff.
MOTION PASSED: 3-0
