The program is well run and has a proven safety record. It provides needed safe parking to those in our community who are struggling and will benefit from having a safe place to sleep at night and access to the program’s services. The impressive success rate of this program in getting folks into transitional and permanent housing should be considered and applauded. The city’s approval and finding that the church has met all the requirements should be sufficient to approve. Please do not let the less informed community members drag out this approval as they have done at the UU Church. We are a community and in communities, we care for each other. As leaders of the community, I urge you to show compassion and integrity and approve this permit tonight. Hello, I would like to write in support of First Congo’s application for “safe Parking Permit’. I believe its a basic human need that people have a safe place to sleep at night. Having listened to the zoom I feel reassured that this is a fantastic scheme and the permit should be granted. Thank you to Mountain View and First Congo for pushing to facilitate this and please let me know if there’s any more I can do to help. I really hope to hear positive news that this has been granted. Be cautious of openingattachments and clicking on links. I wouldn’t disagree with Aram’s assessment. Ed Lauing strikes me as a mediocrity who seems safe or controllable by the hypothetical deep state Palo Alto. If you buy the model the people who get votes for commissions and consensus endorsement are people who have somehow signaled that they would never rock a boat or say anything truthful or provocative. In my personal special interest of the first amendment I called out to him about the fact that Palo Alto has a law contrary to the first amendment about the “amplifier ban” in Lytton Plaza (since 2012) which came to pass during his tenure on parks and he gave some political Gobley goop dodging the issue rather than saying thanks for suggesting it I’ll work on it during my campaign. Not to mention the fact that the whole current “residentialists” thing is not at all what the original residentialists had in mind and people just steal that term. According to Tom Jordan who was my campaign advisor the cycle before he was Tom DuBois’ the residentialists were against corporate hegemony in the form of Hewlett-Packard tearing out 100 homes from Oregon Street. Nowadays the corporate citizens are way worse than HP but leadership is afraid to Tax them. Ed Lauing seems like the kind of guy who wants to be useful to powerful people and then tells his neighbors through a false smile that he’s trying hard. Easier to comprehend the second time through. BA.5 is bad news, especially for the more vulnerable. DON'T MISS THIS. BA.5 causes more severe disease - YouTube I will not try to summarize it. HE NEVER SAYS IT HERE, BUT APPARENTLY THE BOOSTERS WE HAVE BEEN GETTING IN RECENT MONTHS ARE THE SAME ORIGINAL VACCINE WE GOT IN JANUARY, 2021, AND LATER. I have heard that, I think, from him. So he shows here that those orginal vaccines are WAY less effective, 20X less effective, to BA.4 and BA.5 than they to the the orginal Wuhan virus!!! And, he shows here, that infection with the recent Omicron variants is NOT providing good antibody protection against BA.5. We are seeing a lot of break through infections with BA5. He dwells a LOT here on the protection one got by being infected by earlier variants, and being so infected AND being vaccinated- hybrid immunity. All of the prior infections and vaccinateions DO seem to be providing decent protection agains BA.5 in terms of serious illness. You may get sick with a BA.5 infection, even though you were recently vaccinated and even though you were recently infected with earlier variants, but you are not as likley to get serious illness, i.e. wind up hospitalized, in the ICU, on a ventilator or dead as you were with the early variants, such as Delta, and no vaccination or prior infection. The studies that show the power of BA.5 to re-infect those who were vaccinated earlier tend to look at the ability of the new viruses to escape antibodies, BUT, natural infection produces longer-lived B and T cells that vaccination does not produce, Dr. Campbell likes to emphasize. And a big finding is that BA.5 seems to go deeper into the lungs, as did the early very pathogenic forms of the virus. So BA.5 is very bad news. Mask up, social distance, wash hands, avoid crowds, especially if you are over 60 with co-morbidities, such as diabetes, the worst co-morbidity here. Think of the poor people on immunosupressive drugs with essentially no or a very limitied immune system. Again, I won't try to summarize. This video by Dr. Campbell is only 19 minutes long. If you are a health care professional dealing with Covid you will want to see this. Ditto for policy makers, at all levels. Hear that, CDC and FDA, and WH? And ditto for anyone confused by the news coming out in 2 minute blurbs on the network news. BA.4, BA.5 and BA. 2.12.1 are worth re-instituting serous protective measures. It seems to me that we need a vaccine specific to those variants since the original vaccine is now much less effective against them. The news says that LA County may re-introduce an indoor mask mandate AND the news says that BART is about to lift its mask mandate. PS- In one recent vid re Monkeypox, Dr. Campbell says that it is impacting gay men more. Why? He suspects that it is just the close contact that is spreading it there. Not really a sexualy transmitted disease- just one spread by close contact. Here is a good, dense article in Forbes re the genetic variation in Covid. Note that in July, 2022, in the US it is BA.4, BA.5 and BA. 2.12.1 that are circulating. BA.2.75: A Dark Horse In The Covid Pandemic (forbes.com) With each successive earlier variant, it seemed that they were becoming more contagious but less pathogenic. Now we have BA.5, the most contagious variant we have seen, says the network news, but more pathogenic than the earlier BA.2. The third paragraph of the above article says "BA.5 is slightly less infectious relative to BA.1 and BA.2, but could be more virulent and immune evasive, akin to the Delta variant of 2021". L. Be cautiousof opening attachments and clicking on links. Commissioners, I hope that FTTP will be an agendized item at your 08-03-22 meeting. Maybe it could even an action item, so that the commission could vote on how it wants to advise Council. I have some questions pertaining to the FTTP "hub" page. https://fiber-palo-alto.hub.arcgis.com/ 1. Re the "Click Here to Start the Residential Survey" button, if a resident clicks this button and follows instructions, will the survey count? 1a. I think I remember from previous discussions that a participant had to be "invited" (by email) to do the survey in order for it to count. Is that just wrong? 1b. How many residents have been "invited" (by email)? 1c. Will staff publish the survey, please? Including all the questions, plus the flow chart for what questions are not shown to the participant, based on the participant's previous answers? 1ci. When I took the survey, I said, on page 1, that I was in charge of financial decisions at my home and I had no home internet service. After that, the only other question the survey allowed me to see or answer was WHY I did not have home internet service. (And it didn't even allow me to check multiple reasons.) I wasn't allowed to say what kind of service I wanted. 2. Re the "Click Here to Start the Business Survey" button, if a business person clicks this button and follows instructions, will the survey count? 2a. Again, I think I remember from previous discussions that the participant had to be "invited" (by email) to do the survey in order for it to count. Is that just wrong? 2b. How many businesses have been "invited" (by email)? 2c. Will staff publish the survey, please? Including all the questions, plus the flow chart for what questions are not shown to the participant, based on the participant's previous answers? 3. Re the "Go Here to Submit a Deposit" button, is this intended for residents only, or for businesses too? 4. At "Track Local Support," this hub page reports on the number of survey responses (2,400) and the number of deposits (498) so far (as of 07-14-22). It promises to update this information weekly. 4a. Please consider reporting separately on the number of residential survey responses and the number of business survey responses. 4b. Please consider reporting separately on the number of residential deposits and the number of business deposits. (Does staff have a way of knowing whether a resident or business made the deposit?) 4c. Please consider reporting on how many residents have been "invited" and how many businesses have been "invited." 4d. Please consider showing a history of this information, week by week, cumulatively, rather than just for the most recent week. 5. If any surveys were returned that didn't count, please provide information about that. 6. If I click on "Get Involved" (in either the top banner or bottom banner), I'm taken to a map https://fiber-palo-alto.hub.arcgis.com/pages/get-involved where people can "pin" themselves to indicate an interest in FTTP. I continue to think that most people haven't figured out how to get to this map. 6a. Google can't find the map page. Google "site:cityofpaloalto.org 'happy connecting' " 1 hit, not relevant. 6b. As of 07-14-22, there were 498 deposits but only 268 "pins." Does it make sense that (about) twice as many people were willing to make a $50 deposit as were willing to put themselves on a map? I don't think so. 6c. At the 06-08-22 UAC meeting, Dave Yuan came up with the idea that the map could show WHERE the people making the deposits were. Sounds like a good idea. I don't know how hard it would be. Thanks. Dear Palo Alto City Council members, I am a rising senior at Paly, as well as a reader, poetry enthusiast, and avid Palo Alto library lover. I was wondering if Palo Alto City Library (whom I have also emailed). or Palo Alto City Council more generally, have ever thought about hosting a youth poet laureate contest/program? These programs are often very successful in promoting literary engagement, and I for one would be extremely appreciative to have a program like this in my town. In challenging times socially, emotionally, and politically, poetry has the power to connect people. A young poet to represent Palo Alto City Council would add to the city's cultural richness and could promote interest in poetry and literature in elementary schools, write and recite poetry at various public events, work on and promote literary programs throughout the city, and many other ways as well. Please let me know if this is something that in any way could be up for consideration. Thank you for your time and patience, I look forward to hearing from you. Have a wonderful rest of the summer! There is no regulation that indicates that we must ONLY publish in one publication. I appreciate your concerns about the nomination extension period. The intent of the Election Code extension period is to allow residents who may not consider candidacy due to an incumbent in the position, an additional opportunity to make that decision. Notifying the public earlier, rather than on August 12th that the incumbent does not file, allows potential candidates more time to thoughtfully consider taking on the commitment of elected Council Member for the City of Palo Alto, a decision that should not be taken lightly or made hastily. While the notice is still legal, and I don’t feel it is technically incorrect, based on personal conversations I’ve had with Council Member Cormack as well as her announcement and interview with the media, I am confident that the deadline will extend to August 17th. Z A Y N E R , Presiding Judge July 11, 2022 Palo Alto City Council City of Palo Alto 250 Hamilton Avenue Palo Alto, CA 94301 Sent via email: city.council@cityofpaloalto.org Dear Members of the Palo Alto City Council, I am pleased to announce that the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara is seeking volunteers to serve on the 2023 Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury. As Presiding Judge of the Court, I am making our annual appeal for assistance from elected officials, justice partners, and business and community leaders to ensure this opportunity for grand jury service is made available to as many of our county’s residents as possible. As part of the Judicial Branch of government, the Civil Grand Jury’s role as a civil investigator affords citizens the unique opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of local government and to play an integral part in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of local government. Grand jurors have the independent authority to examine all aspects of county and city government, school districts, and special districts. The Civil Grand Jury is also statutorily empowered to inspect adult and juvenile detention facilities. It is important to our community that the grand jury is diverse and representative of the county population, and it is critical that we ensure that the grand jury is equipped with a mixed set of skills and abilities to assemble the deep reservoir of knowledge necessary in this broad oversight role. With your help, we can achieve this goal and allow the Civil Grand Jury to continue to play a vital role in promoting accountability in our local government. Residents who have lived in the county for one year, are United States citizens, and are at least 18 years of age may apply for service. The Court is seeking applicants of all backgrounds who are willing to commit to a one- year term, beginning on January 2, 2023. Please find enclosed an application for service and an informational brochure on the Civil Grand Jury. The deadline to apply for consideration is Friday, September 16, 2022. Those interested in applying may contact Britney Huelbig, Deputy Manager of the Civil Grand Jury, at 408-882-2721 or CGJ@scscourt.org, and may also visit our website at www.scscourt.org. Additionally, should you have an upcoming event or opportunity to advertise this recruitment, Ms. Huelbig can coordinate the Court’s support as needed. Thank you for your assistance in this important outreach effort. We look forward to speaking with those you recommend as a candidate about the benefits of serving on the Civil Grand Jury. The Notice states that the nomination period has been extendeddue to an eligible incumbent not filing for re-election. "Not filing for re-election" is not the same thing as anincumbent stating that she does not intend to file for re-election. I believe a corrected Notice needs to be published that showsAugust 12, 2022 as the deadline for filing, and then if aneligible incumbent does not file by that date, then a secondNotice needs to be published stating the extended 5-day filingperiod ending on August 17, 2022. If the current Notice is the only one that potential candidatesrely upon, and the eligible incumbent changes her mind and doesfile for re-election by August 12, 2022, then anyone who iswaiting to file after that date for election to the CityCouncil will find that they will be prevented from filingbecause they relied upon the Notice in the July 8, 2022 PaloAlto Weekly. I was surprised to see the Notice in the Palo Alto Weekly, because I recall that the City Council had made a budgetarydecision on the recommendation of the previous City Clerk touse the Daily Post for public notices and that newspaper iswhere such notices have appeared since that decision. To: <mcmurray@ci.oakley.ca.us>, <council@ci.atherton.ca.us> Cc: <bbethune@cityofmyrtlebeach.com>, <mrobbins@smcgov.org> Hello, How are you? No name calling. No plaguerized journals composed from this email. This email is with lots of info. If ur a real detective forensics paranormal..so it's ok. Take ur time. SF Brooke Jenkins's violent past is mixed in with current violent attacks with arson that went with Oakland,CA Ghostship warehouse where Brooke Jenkins performed her latest music. Those lawyers(law firm handling Sergie Brin's divorce with Nicole Shanahan should be barred) in San Mateo CA. Why? Guilty of extortion and racketeering styles of it on for forced adoption courtcases..whereas Belinda Hanson administered drugs onto Dilma coleman and used the mental health records against Dilma. It's obvious that the reporting system is broken. The missing ads for Alexis Gabe are with wrong literature gaslighting techniques on those pedophile creeps..whom raised Alexis Gabe to do sexual assaults on children mimicking patterns of her father's addictions to gambling, financial robberies, child pornography and other corrupt attacks that designs law enforcement agents into gangs similar appearances of what Los Angeles CA Sheriffs Alex Villeneuva's is guilty of extortion. Too much changes in the Geographic locations of the actual crimes. who did sexual assaults and extortion? Cayce SC police chief Chris Cowan and other law enforcement agents with Santa Clara DA Jeff Rosen. What led for the death of Cayce SC police officer Roy Andrew Drew Barr? Drew came to California and seen sexual assaults on children he seen lots of law enforcement agents guilty of extortion..Drew Barr including the Life Moves homeless organization staff whom act as if their ISIS..along with Homefirst homeless shelter organization..their Kleptomaniac sorcerer's behaviors whereas those filipinos relatives in those facilities are Habitual santanic Vigilantes canvassing their premeditated crimes that also trapped killed Hayward CA 8 yr old girl Sophia Mason..who wasn't killed by her mother or her mother's boyfriend. Did Those Filipino relatives of Rob Bonta Mialisa Bonta are affiliated with drug sales..in the East Menlo Park CA (San Mateo county whereas San Mateo county Sheriff Carlos Bolanos (drug addictions, guilty of extortion)) had frequently visited (Doll House Las Vegas NV other locations in Oakley CA). Alexis Gabe's father affiliated with Negro creeps Ozzy Williams and his Filipino wife Marie and other Filipino relatives of Rob Bonta who are with gun sales. Why did Dilma Coleman aka Diva Lee MD JD contact a city manager of Oakley,CA and not the police? Because of the boogaloo movement in Oakley CA especially with former Police Chief Chris Thorsen with other local police agencies especially Cayce,SC police chief Chris Cowan a nasty sexual creep guilty of extortion and racketeering styles of it that led to the deaths of Cayce SC Law enforcement agent Roy Andrew (Drew) Barr in April 2022. Why? Because Drew witnessed the 2008 plane crash with 192 Blink drummer Travis Barker. When he was age 13...that plane crash had Travis Barker's surveillance systems mimicking patterns of that Bahamas plane crash.. Aalyiah Dana Haughton aka Brooke Jenkins is the New sworn in San Francisco District Attorney...lets pause on the surveillance system programmers who edit delete freeze cyberpunk cyber forensics..that was programmed by Rapper Snoop Dogg aka Calvin Brodus jr. Their ways to control the world with their drugs, drug addictions and Kleptomaniac mental state of mind whereas children are extremely exhausted from the adults whom targeted trapped them for sex. Using gaslighting techniques. What else happened to Pilot Huber who didn't die from self inflicted gunshots whereas he didn't shoot either Florida Gardens FBI agents Laura Swartzenberger and Daniel Alfin( against crimes on children exploited children victimtimized in child pornography). Arrest Sophia Vaughn Patterson CA 1442 Berendas Ave who's family members especially those affiliated with her grandma's Morman church members..(child pornography sites makers). That's what they are addicted to doing .it's been on repeat that Santa Clara county sheriff Laurie Smith is a serial pedophilic creepy lesbian bitch who bee racketeering..sold guns play for play to Sergie Brin's wife Nicole Shanahan... San Francisco FBI agent Mr Fair has affiliated with filipinos relatives of Rob Bonta Mialisa Bonta their cohorts affiliated with drug sales and exploited children. It's Completely up to you to want to understand that the RKelly incarcerated in Chicago isn't that guilty of sexual assaults on women. RKelly's identical twin brother was the one married to Aalyiah Dana Haughton aka Brooke Jenkins and he is deceased. Aalyiah Dana Haughton aka Brooke Jenkins aka Baby girl is a serial killer ...she killed using a gun violence on Mrytle beach police officer Joseph John McGarry attachment #5. Check in with Brenda Bethune(Myrtle,SC Beach ) Oakley CA Alexis Gabe all the information about her and the Geographic locations of the details are wrong. Her car was abandoned at Casa Linda motel in San Jose CA whereas she had done sexual assaults on a child..who ended up with gunshots later ... Alexis Gabe is affiliated with Brooke Jenkins aka Baby Girl who shot Oakland CA security guard Dave Patrick Underwood at a Federal Building.. witnessed By Maeloni Edmondson and her father Matthew Edmondson whom reside in Fairfield CA near Vacaville CA.. What needs to happen is an immediate arrest for Alexis Gabe father and his cohorts. Alexis Gabe had a history of dating a nice black male yet Marshall If u have a gun .I suggest that you don't be afraid to carry it. As a former CIA Intelligence agent, former DOJ agent in gun control with heroric efforts and awards such as key to the city of Oakland CA and or Oakland FL. I suggest that you gather information quickly and be prepared to take charge .of ur city. I would like for it to happen quickly..the arrest of SF DA Brooke Jenkins especially when SF Mayor London Breed is against gun violence. Why is London Breed not equipped to handle Brooke Jenkins's violent past? Brooke Jenkins uses drugs and hypnosis administered on London Breed as well as lesbian sexual assaults..that Brooke Jenkins has administered to London Breed with the use of a blackout GHB drugs. London Breed's brother Napoleon Brown was trapped held hostage by the same cohorts affiliated with Brooke Jenkins's relatives who gave ultimatums to Napoleon Brown to go into the Johnny Rockets burger joint. It's Completely revealed that too much hypnosis administered on those Court Judges thru ultimatums..who had sworn in Brooke Jenkins..who were the witnesses in Myrtle Beach when Brooke Jenkins aka Baby Girl killed Joseph John McGarry (myrtle Beach officer on Dec 29,2002)? Rapper Lil Wayne .no no it was Rapper Snoop Dogg aka Calvin Brodus jr..he seen Brooke Jenkins kill the police officer. Oooh yeah who else? Cayce SC police chief Chris Cowan. Ok. Is Joseph John McGarry really dead? Did Brooke Jenkins aka Baby Girl witnessed the death of Laci Rocha Peterson on Dec 24,2002 whereas Scott Peterson didn't kill his wife. What did Brooke Jenkins say? Brooke Jenkins aka Baby Girl who possibly is singer Aalyiah Dana Haughton was given ultimatums because Laci Rocha Peterson and her god sister Dilma Coleman had picked the California lottery winnings numbers whereas Alcario Castellanos a relative of Brooke Jenkins aka Baby Girl claimed the winning lottery tickets.. that's good reasoning especially when Scott Peterson didn't kill his wife Laci Rocha Peterson on 12/24/2002. Why did Brooke Jenkins aka Baby Girl kill Joseph John McGarry myrtle Beach officer? Because he recognized her as singer songwriter Aalyiah Dana Haughton and she got terrified and had been running destroyed as a singer hiding from her escape death .. whereas snoop Dogg aka Calvin Brodus jr had created an charectoristics analysis of what Brooke Jenkins aka Baby Girl went into a marvel comic charectoristics analysis whereas she had other plans similar appearances of That Alfred Hitchcock Bates Motel..that other attacks of unsolved homicides mysteries that targeted trapped children and victimtimized Dilma Coleman aka Diva Lee MD JD in labor trafficking, slavery humantraffing and it's obvious that Gavin Newsom bullied Scott Peterson calling him a slave..and his attorney Mark Geregos plus Attorney Pat Harris especially are involved with their own racial biased beliefs..with their guilt of extortion..and it's obvious that there needs to be new crack down on these prison reform and justice reform organization workers.. Homeland security secretary attachment #2 isn't that great of a guy he is always victimtimized and challenged furthermore he needs to be rehabilitated from the many corrupt boogaloo law enforcement agents who work in various places such as San Mateo county where John Kovac (homeland security agent) is corrupt with his wife Christina Corpus. Arrest Alexis Gabe's father and hold it accountable for those bad detectives who created the wrong story..about The missing Alexis Gabe. It was bad. Long but you'll learn from it. For years in Europe, there were bulletin boards with notes from people looking for family members. All because of one guy with a long, pointed nose. That made people think that he is some sort of savior. He got 5 million Germans killed. 27 million Russians killed, on and on. (81) What was life like in Germany during and after WW2? - Quora At the heart of the United States government are hundreds of thousands of Nazis who are well paid to ruin the lives of white Amercan men. Called the EENazi, or something. Now, every TV ad depicts white American men as crooks, liars, trouble-makers, thieves, morons. Eventually, the rest of the population, with this relentless propaganda, is going to conclude that they should get rid of us. That is the genocide that is ramping up in the United States. It is the logical end-point of the campaign against us by the U.S. government. CBS News employs a little sexist to keep the campaign going. What if she denigrated every black person on which CBS news reported. There would be blood in the streets. EVERY time a school district makes some announcement, it is a highly paid woman who is the "spokes person". That fosters the idea that white men are trash, unreliable, unfit to even read an announcement. How can the EENazi let that go by without intervening. They are supposed to be vigilent about unfairness in employment based on race and gender. Let's see some white men as spokes persons for school districts. One thing the Nazism at the heart of the U.S. government and the Nazi policies in Germany have in common is this: It is mindless, unthinking, blind and murderous. Just kill, or, for now, ruin the lives of white American men. Don't think, don't consider law or constitutional principles: Just do all you can at every turn to deny white American men any consideration in hiring, employment, retention, promotion, any consideration in the private sector and in any government action or policy, at any level of government. It is always good to hire or promote a woman or minority now and always bad to hire or promote a white American man. This stuff is straight out of the Nazi Nuremburg Laws. And now, deny them fairness in any avenue of life due to the model put in place by the Nazi federal government and in the advertising slavishly followed by the American business community. White American men should know how to react to that in their spending decisions, and in their voting decisions. And in their decisions to remain in the United States. Why contribute to this system? The Nazis are out of power in Germany. Unlike the Jews of Europe, white American men see what is coming and we have a long history of stopping and getting even with people who try to ruin our lives. Now the Nazis in and out of the US government are using the abortion fight to keep the Nazi war on white American men going. Vote for the Dems in November and in 2024 and we'll codify Roe into federal law. We'll also pack the SC with liberals that will maintain the EENazis in power. White American men, if they have any sense, will vote for radical conservatives that will dismantle the entire stinking Nazi structure at the federal, State and local levels. L.
