PUBLIC COMMENT

request card located on the table at the entrance to the Council Chambers, and deliver it to the City Clerk prior to
discussion of the item. You are not required to give your name on the speaker card in order to speak to the Council, but it is very helpful. Public comment may be addressed to the full City Council via email at City.Council@cityofpaloalto.org.

Particular items may be heard before or after the time estimated on the agenda. This may occur in order to best manage the time at a meeting or to adapt to the participation of the public. To ensure
participation in a particular item, we suggest arriving at the beginning of the meeting and remaining until the item

6.PUBLIC HEARING/QUASI-JUDICIAL: 3703-3709 El Camino Real
[18PLN-00136]: Recommendation on Applicant’s Request for a Zone
Change to Apply the Affordable Housing (AH) Combining District to the
Site, as Well as Architectural Review to Allow for the Demolition of two
Existing Retail Buildings and Construction of a 100 Percent Affordable
Housing Project. The Project Consists of a Four-story Building
Containing 59 Residential Units, two Levels of Garage Parking, and
Associated Site Improvements. The Applicant Also Requests a Design
Enhancement Exception to Allow for Garage and Ground Level
Encroachments Into Required Rear and Street Side Yards, and a
Waiver From Retail Preservation Requirements. Zoning District:
