Members of the public may speak to any item not on the agenda with a limitation of three (3) minutes per speaker. Those who desire to speak must complete a speaker request card available from the secretary of the Board. The Architectural Review Board reserves the right to limit the oral communications period to 15 minutes. City of Palo Alto Page 1 APPROVAL OF MINUTES. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: 1. 3130 Hansen Way [11PLN-00096]: Request by Hoover Associates on behalf of Leland Stanford Jr. University Board of Trustees for Architectural Review of a new 30,200 square foot, two-story employee amenities building for Varian, to replace an existing 21,000 square foot one-story building, and a Design Enhancement Exception to allow a roof feature to exceed 35 foot height limit by one foot, in the Research Park (RP) zoning District. Environmental Assessment: A draft Initial Study and Negative Declaration have been prepared and the public comment period will end on November 21, 2011. NEW BUSINESS: Minor 2. 3700 Middlefield Road [09PLN-0000170]: Request by Public Works Engineering, on behalf of the City of Palo Alto, for Architectural Review of minor revisions to the previously approved project for a new 40,115 square foot library and 16,052 square foot community center and other site improvements. Zone: PF. Environmental Assessment: A Mitigated Negative Declaration was adopted June 6, 2008 in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Preliminary Review 3. 4214 EL Camino Real [11PLN-00344]: Request by OTO Development on behalf of Schnell Brothers Properties for preliminary Architectural Review of a new four-story, 178 room hotel (Hilton Garden Inn). Zone District: CS. BOARD MEMBER BUSINESS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. REPORTS FROM OFFICIALS. SUBCOMMITTEE: 4. 167 Hamilton Avenue [11PLN-00095]: Request by Keisker & Wiggle Architects, Inc., on behalf of 167 Hamilton Investors, LLC and LYFE restaurant, for Architectural Review of a minor revision to the previously approved of façade improvements on an existing building, the addition of outdoor seating, and other minor improvements associated with a new ground floor restaurant. The proposed change is regarding the supporting elements for canopy overhang. Zoning: CD-C(GF)(P). Environmental Assessment: Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per section 15301.
